Default 264 win mag and 142 lrab

Hey all, just wondering what guys are finding is the best twist rate for these bullets. Thinking I should be going with 1:8 but want to make sure

8 twist is good... that’s a soft bullet to be using with a high velocity cartridge like that, I would consider using something more sturdy like a regular accubond, swift sirocco, or TTSX.

Just my 2 cents, it would probably still get the job done but you risk the chance of limited penetration.

That was my thought too after reading the post. My son used one last fall on a whitetail out of a 26 nosler and at about 100 yards, the bullet made a big entry wound and broke apart on a lung shot never exiting. Have weighed it but it is about half the size of what it started with and it was a little buck.

My buddy used them in his 26 nosler and smoked a bull at 40 yards
Said it was the loudest impact he's ever heard
Elk was dead before it hit the dirt
