Default Para foil Ultra lights

Two para foil ultralights just flew over town.
I see a new tow in my future lol

Anybody have one? Where did you get it?
Do you have to have a pilots licence to fly one?

As a licensed (formerly working) commercial airplane pilot, all I know about them is this: the wind better not be blowing when you're flying one! Transport Canada's website has all the licensing info. Cheers

Thanks.
I think they are experimental aircraft. But I'll look it up.

Beautiful evening with light winds.

Lots of fun, if used prudently. I get the accident reports from Transport of guys getting blown off course smashing into farm implements etc. Better than a balloon though

Will cost about ten grand to get into. I'm a big guy so will need a bigger motor.

Can't seem to find anything on the Transport Canada site about this. maybe someone can send a link.

Apparently there is a place in Wetaskawin that provides training.
