Default Finding first ice burbs

Ok so I point me in the depth to find these ugly tasty guys.

Early ice I tend to find them on the shallow side of a big drop off or point. If the topography of the lake is pretty flat, look for even little dips or cups. Best at dawn and dusk, or even into the night.

If you’re feeling brave or foolhardy, they also love to congregate in areas with current, near rivers or springs. Pretty much anywhere with sketchy ice!

Early season I typically get them around where the whites are spawning around dawn/dusk they are feeding on the eggs. If you can get your hands on some roe then usually you are in business.
