Default Places to stay between Cochrane,Ab to Fairbanks Alaska

Me and a buddy are driving to Fairbanks , Alaska next summer for a Grizzly and caribou hunt , seem like there not a lot of hotels north of fort Nelson and white horse. Anyone drive this route before ??

North of Ft Nelson try Liard river, nice motel and hot springs, but a reservation would be recommended. Watson Lake is not all that pretty but has plenty of places. Its only 6 hrs between Ft Nelson and Watson. When I make the trip from Edmonton I generally try to get to Ft Nelson the first night then Whse the 2nd.

Hundreds of times. Leave Cochrane and go to Dawson Creek. Dawson Creek to Liard Lodge (Great Hot Springs) 9hr, Liard Lodge to Whitehorse 7hr. Whitehorse to Fairbanks 12hrs or Whitehorse to Tok 7hrs. Tok to Fairbanks 3 hrs.

Hotels - Liard River Lodge
High Country Inn- Whitehorse
Fast Eddys- Tok

Every time I drove the highway I just pulled over and slept when I got tired, except in Whitehorse. Say hi to my family in Fairbanks for me! lol
