I trade coyote rifles like a change shorts. but I always come back to a 204 shooting 40gr vmax. 22.250 with 55 gr nosler and a 243 with 80gr sp for the month of nov . 204 with anything less than a 39gr your going to have wounded running dogs on long shots. had countless dogs run till they dropped from the pain, the light bullets preiced the hide and stopped. 22.250 with a 55 gr nosler , countless coyotes with pencil size hole and no blood but as soon as you started skinning the coyote was tore up inside, a gem to skin, 243 with 80 gr sp. countless hours of sewing,

I recently sold all of my rifles that shot .224" bullets, and replaced them with cartridges using .204" bullets. My 20 Vartarg produces just over 3700fps with the 32grBlitzking, and because it uses only 18.5gr of powder, it can fire many rounds before the barrel starts to heat up. My 20Tactical will drive a 39gr Blitzking at around 3900fps, which shoots flatter than a 220swift, and deflects less in the wind, than a typical 220swift load. For coyote, my go to gun is still my 260rem.

Have you had a chance to down a yote with either of your .20's? If so how were the blitzes on the pelt?

Haven't tried either on coyotes. I just finalized the load for the Vartarg, and am still finalizing my load for the 20 Tactical.
