Default Mock Scrapes Messing With Their Minds…

Well a location showed rubs but spread out so I said what the heck just to see who is who in the woods.
Found a few locations, bent over a few limbs on a tree to 4’ -5’ height…scraped away the grass/leaves right down to the earth….relieved myself of a few cups of coffee…set up trail cams and four days later got these bucks showing up.
Got another area I found when out chicken hunting that I will set up a few mock scrapes just to see again who is who in the woods….luv messing with their minds!

Everyone gets into the party now and then….if you never did this I recommend giving this a shot.

I need to give this another go but in a location the mock scrape is not competing with the real deal

But only if I can remember to do it in my travels

I’ve done this too, just need to get some more cameras out there to capture the effects.

I hear ya Smoky….got the real deal going on as you very know it’s about setting up cams and getting personal but when an area is like a fart in the wind just give it a try….ya never know what shows up.
In the past 35 years of playing games with these mock scrapes I was surprised to see 7 year old bucks show up and make their own scrape lines too…ya never know who you pizzz off.
I then adjust accordingly in which sometimes I eat tag soup because of one or two showings but as I age I am partial to pepperoni too….I see pepperoni in these game cam pics!

I may have to try it in the area I found the heavy shed if my cams fail to expose that buck. The area not hunter friendly so I will have to try something if normal tactics fail

But I could also be seeking a buck they no longer exsists lol

Thumbs up

Ewww found a juicy spot yesterday so put up a cam over my scrape....walking in there were does running all over the place and lots of rubs...will post up a few pics of who is who in the woods.

Two chickens didn’t get whacked because I just wanted to leave that area without too much disturbance.

Gonna head out to another set of mock scrapes I made in another area in a few days….remember that there was just rubs all over a couple hundred yards and by making these mock scrapes I get an early idea of what’s going on in an area plus pick up a few chickens too!!!
