I finished my week’s project. The trilogy was the 6.5CM.

Here….sizing

And then priming on the press…

Charging and seating…yeah, yeah….yada-yada.

This took a week to complete…

Enough (220 rounds for each caliber) for …a lot of shooting.

Makes sense, hopefully they shoot just as well

It's nothing near what 6MT accomplished this week! But I'm starting load development for .25-06 and .22-250, loaded up 20 each. Also bought an Edgewood rear bag, just filled it with chromite, hefty!

Anyone using Alpha Munitions brass and finding VERY tight primer pockets ?
80 out of 100 [6 Dasher] were VERY tight and the last 20 had a comfortable squeeze / friction fit with hand tool. I did not use a uniformer tool as i don't want to take anything off of them...? hoping after first fire with 450 mag primers they loosen up a tad. Not sure how much pressure would set one off and don't want to find out. Hope the next 100 are a bit better or I gotta change things up

Shot 400 rounds today from the levers and revolvers. Now to start the long process of bringing the four different calibers empties back.

De-capping first…

Built 50rds of 300wsm for my son

200g Nosler Partitions with 61g of IMR4350.

Seems to be the ticket for his 1:10 twist

Cleaned and loaded a bunch of 40/65, 50 rounds of 260, and took a stuck case out of a die for a buddy .
Productive day!

I haven't put it to use yet, but I received a tool I've been needing for over a year now. Ball micrometer to measure necks so I can start turning for a couple of guns.

Ordered from K&M in the US because I wanted their modified micrometer with the beveled shoulders, also picked up a couple of cutter blades and a shirt.

A little nervous to start cutting up brass, but glad I finally have it. I have a 6.5-284 with a tight neck that I've hardly shot yet.

Loaded and fired 45 rounds in my 6mm-250 Walker hybrid. Still a 1/2 inch or better rifle even with a worn out barrel. Still need a few tweaks to get the case just right. It may not be a winner in the benchrest division but it will sure play well in the gopher patch come spring. It has been a pretty steep learning curve but it will be worth it in the end.

Wondering if someone could recommend a good Ball Micrometer ? Not diamond Jim but don't want to buy junk either. Heard the RCBS is good...?
Thanks.

That looks like an amazing idea...if only I hadn't built my shelving to accommodate the die boxes. I would also need like 30 of them....

Loaded up 28 rnds of 30-06 in batches of 4 each
54gr,54.5, 55,55.5,56,56.5 and 57 gr.IMR4350.
165gr. Speer BTSP.
Now off to the range to shoot w/ Chrony.
Doing this for a friend with a new rifle. It's already broke in and shoots factory Herter's 150gr ammo quite well. If I find a powder load that shoots well, and no pressure signs I'll play with seating depth. Now it's .0020" off lands.

Having choices is the name of the game….

I’ve had the V4 on the left for a few weeks now. I can’t get over how well it throws extruded powders.

Necked down some older 280 brass to 6.5 lost nearly half (25 or so). Not sure I trust it as is, so I am still looking for 6.5x284 brass if anyone has any they want to let go.

Loaded up a lot of 6mm International. Finally have gotten the kinks worked out and she feeds and extracts like a champ.

Did find however that the case necks will not hold my custom 68 grain bullets with decent enough neck tension (about half the brass ). So these will be loaded with Hornady 87gr. and Sierra 85gr. bullets which seem to be "just right". I will be working up a load for these rounds for use in the gopher fields. Guess I should not complain this brass has been sized, trimmed etc. several times and still works.

Actually, now that I think about it I'm fairly certain the Outdoorsman across town from you has some on the shelf, if not he can get it in.
