Default Tri-pod hunting Stand…

Looking to built my own Tripod Stand. Anyone ever build one?
Maybe you have an old beat up one your not using….I had this thought of mounting one to a trailer, so I could move it around easily.

How high do you need it to be?

There is a European style ("Scherenleiter"), more of a scissor design. It's meant to fold up etc.

Just have to make sure you use good lumber for the main parts; not good if it splits at the pivot points!

You are limited in the height, of course. These are mainly meant to get the hunter to be able to see over the crops.

A buddy of mine built one, my advice to you would be if you’re leaving it out semi permanent or permanent (or even temporarily) anchor points, have several from different directions as they can be a bit of a kite if you have anything for concealing movement. They’re also a bit of a process to move around and it takes a couple guys so pick your spot well.

I kinda wanted to build one that can go up & down fairly easily. I have a great tandem quad trailer, thinking of sleeping in the trailer than climbing into my stand, camo the whole thing.
Yea i know....I'm crazy! My buddies tell me so! Ha...Ha...Ha!
But I'm Successful at nailing elk in Odd places....

If you don't need the height, you can do this:
