Stuart’s stocks are limited in styles but are very well made, in this case the featherweight style stock was what I was looking for so his stock got the nod.
As far as I’m concerned you can’t have a featherweight style stock in any other colour and it wouldn’t be complete without the orange pad.

I must admit the brown is one of my favourite colours I’ve seen so far and the orange pad sets the whole thing off. Both yours and Chucks rifles are sterling examples of that.
I have a pre 64 featherweight that I just refurbished , with crazy wood for a standard rifle. I can’t seem to post pictures so if someone wants to post a picture I could send it to them . Thx
My model 70 is an older 338win mag, that built in 1972, I have a newer Burris Signature HD scope mounted on it. Guns been unreal the last couple years since I acquired it in a trade.

No , I doubt if was a special order , just luck that it ended up on that rifle. I debated on refinishing it but the wood was not being justified with the old winchester finish . I sanded it down to 1000 grit and put a new oil finish to it . Also reblued it while I was at it . I have never shot it , may get to that next week
