Default Rear sling stud - walnut stock

Quick question - anyone "bed" the rear stock screw? Front is a clamp on to the magazine tube (lever gun). I was thinking that a well waxed screw, epoxied into the stock would stop the screw from loosening. Thoughts?

I have done that with a few, works just fine. Used Devcon Steel on mine. Other option is to used a threaded insert and counter sink it into the stock with some bedding material. These tend to stay tight better than the traditional wood thread style studs if there is a lot of side loads.
