Consort Course
Hi Fred.. Phil here, I sat right in front of you during the course.
Ditto to what Fred stated. The course was excellent. This is the email I sent the ATA;
I just wanted to report that I thought the course was excellent.
Despite having to deliver a large volume of material over a short
amount of time the instructors were extremely professional, well
organized, and incorporated plenty of hands-on training. In my opinion
the material as presented was also appropriate for a wide-ranging
audience with various backgrounds and experience.
The classroom facility is roomy, comfortable, and easily accommodated
15 students. The skinning/ hide processing shed - located immediately
behind the classroom - was clean, large enough to incorporate
demonstrations, and contained all the tools necessary to process
multiple species. The field portion of the course was easily
accessible and, after a short hike, Gregg, Tina, and Corey
demonstrated various snares and traps in an operational setting.
Greg McKinnon, Corey, and Tina Grover, are passionate, knowledgeable,
and ethical advocates of an honorable way of life. The Alberta
Trappers Association can rest assured that their work is of an
extremely high standard, and reflects highly on the entire trapping
industry. As such, I am happy to recommend the course to anyone who
plans on pursuing trapping as a career, hobby, or is simply passionate
about the outdoors.
