Credit due. Talbot played well. Loved the guy four years ago ( 73 games played wow !!! ) then it went off the rails. Would never wish him Ill will. Hope he can get his career on track. Even if it’s with calgary. Always wondered if having his first child x2 ( twins ) changed his focus and that’s where it went sideways. Don’t know for sure just know that’s a big life change and just speculating.

Thirty-three year old Andrew Ladd, former Captain, 946 regular season games played, 537 pts (avg. .57 pts/game), 64 playoff games, 2x Stanley Cup winner, played for Canada at the WCx3 is on waivers and playing in the AHL as he can't crack NYI lineup.

Has three years left on his contract.

Well as inconsistent as we have been playing, I guess should be thankful we are still in playoff spot and not so far out of it. We need to snap out of this and soon. Play 3 periods not the third. Get them damn pucks in the net. Ugh this is frustrating but could be worse I guess.

So just listening to the Fan 960 and live with Peter Loubardias and he got all distracted and was saying at Flames practice, a player was down and having some convulsions.
He is totally distracted by this. Yikes don't care who that is, hope nothing serious.

I'm probably getting more frustrated than necessary, seeing as this is just a game that essentially has zero consequence on my life. However, I feel like I care more about the outcome of the game than some of the players and coach. I might need to take a break.

Can someone, anyone at all, explain this to me? I like what he brings, but lets be honest, he's a fourth liner who has zero goals this year. Why in the world would Peters throw him out there with less than 2 minutes to go when we're down by one? I really don't get it. I could make some kind of sense if we were on the power play, goalie is pulled, and he's sitting in front, with Johnny, Monahan, Chucky, Gio, and Lindholm making the play trying to set something up, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Just drives me nuts, we're down by one with less than 2 minutes to go, lets throw a 4th liner out there and see what happens?

Edit:

My attachment is hard to read, it essentially says:

18:27 - Giveaway by Milan Lucic in neutral zone
1827 - Goal scored by Joe Pavelski

I sense an opportunity to twist the knife but I wont, instead I will offer this.

Could it have been to send a message to the other players?

"Calgary Flames practice was halted on Thursday when defenceman (Brodie) collapsed to the ice in an apparent seizure."

Alert and conscience when taken of the ice.

Hope it's not something serious.

I agree , and I get in this situation a team should put out their "Top Players" but currently out top players aren't doing much either.
He can at least put a pass on a stick, and not in someone's feet or 2 feet behind them like Johnny of late.

Sounds like Brody, collapsed at practice today, and had a seizure, taken to hospital.
Sure hope he is ok.

Sounds like he was alert, and responsive, as they were leaving the building

Well Trochu the Brodie incident on here should give you some perspective. It’s just hockey. I to sometimes find myself to involved. Tj’s incident shows us what’s really important. Health. Sure hope he is well and nothing serious.

I agree with you on your take about Talbot...I just can't figure out how his game went so sideways?? I was blaming it on the Oilers goalie coach..You might be onto something

2pm games are tough to catch, so I planned on smoking some ribs and pork loins. Drink beer, smoke food and watch hockey. Will go hunting tomorrow instead.
Go Flames Go!!!

Is Wideman back on our payroll? We have had no luck with calls this year. Not necessarily what we have been called for, which have been some stinkers, one already today, but lack of calls when we are clearly upended.

My daughter is at the game, she called me to say it's just as boring watching coyotes live as on TV.

Maybe the Flames can get one on their pp?

What a gong show. What is Johnny doing? Wish they would show what lead up to that.

Ah just seen it Johnny takes and elbow and getting dumped with no calls. Well refs that's what you get. Shocker Flames end up shorthanded.

God.. That sucked.. Nothing was working.
Lets hope they figure this crap out. I am starting to know the frustration of being a Oiler fan.

Even when we out shoot the other team we fall short. Kemper has one of the better save % but again good chances just 0 goals. They better figure out how to score here quick to say the least. Brutal.

Not sure the point of this irrelevant stat but maybe pay more attention to tour team blowing a 2 goal lead.

Didn't watch any of it, but had a buddy text me around 2:30, "Lucic just got a penalty for being big".

They didn't blow a 2-0 lead! They were always down 2....

I just wanted to see LUC light a spark possibly
