Would be really cool to catch a few of those. Might even have to make a trip down south and tarp them this spring or fall. Definitely high up on my bucket list with badgers and bobcat. great catch btw.

Nice catch H380. It's funny how we get excited over a raccoon and guys with lots of them couldn't care less. Did you catch that in a trail set or baited set?

Nice going H 380! I love hunting and trapping those! About seven years ago driving highway tractor to Estevan I picked up a Beautiful coon road kill. I was working then and had only a few hours to skin the thing , So I was in a motel room ,I figured the washroom was the place ! I undressed buck naked , I knew she would be a task !and started taking the hide off , It got so slippery in that washroom I could barely stand up ! I did get the hide off , and Man had they caught me I would have been going to jail for sure ! What a job , what a clean up ! But the hide is still with me tanned and etc ! real nice one ! LOL

Trail sets so far , got a partial rabbit in a cubby 50 yds away and they dont seem to have any interest , it'll probably get skunked before I'm done . No snow here now except for the odd big hard drift .

banana, peanut butter and honey, mix it all up,they love it,worked back east for me,usually appealed to their sweet tooth with great results.

It should be about the time the coons are mating the big boars should be going from tree to tree looking for a girlfriend. I gotta find some more dening trees. Keep hammering them. The less the better.

Does there have to be a creek or river somewhere near an old abandon farm yard ?
I have an old farm yard I trap in but no water for like 7 miles

Congrats on the raccoons, their fur looks nice and thick.

If this were Ontario I'd say just put out two garbage cans and set on those.

That would work for sure , the little buggars got into a couple bags of pop cans on the back porch in a full moon one night , strung from hell to breakfast . Caught a third one in same set today .

No water required , and if there are old buildings I'm betting there is a good chance you have guests living there .
