They were key in getting the grizzly hunt shut down.

Just look up their website. The grizz closure us touted as one of their successes. Lots of innuendo about 'wild spaces' which would concern me. For most of these outfits that's double talk meaning more parks and the like. Not good for my kids from what I can see.

I view them as a group that wants nothing but Hikers and Bird Watchers in the FLUZ. Pretty sure they are anti hunter.

Exclamation Infiltraitors: divide and conquer

The AWA was very active in promoting/championing the recent changes to the Castle, as well as the proposed changes to the Bighorn. Basically a homegrown version of Y2Y, devised to give them legitimacy with the local population.
FWIW- They would not be on my list of charities to support.

Tolerant to a degree, but not encouraging. They do have their good points.

If you are asking if they support hunting, I would say perhaps. If you ask if they are good sponsors for continued hunting in Alberta specifically, I would say I'm not so sure about that. Personally speaking I believe they are one of the many other special interest groups that are looking to take away and diminish what Alberta has to offer

Just look at AWA's sponsors on their website. Then decide.

It’s only a matter of time before some bonehead here comes along and says “well, it doesn’t say so on their website so they must be pro hunting.”

Surprisingly, KVT isn't on their staff list.

AWA is not the same as Alberta Fish and Game (AFGA). AFGA has been around for about 90 year's and was helpfull in restablishing and protecting wildlife populations during the settlement of this province. It appears they had no input with the last government that was just voted out. Hopefully the AFGA can work with our newly elected government and reverse/revisit most of the policy from the last government. AFGA needs to be able to once again be a voice for all hunters and anglers in Alberta if we are to have any opportunity for our kids in the future.

Default Mec

If MEC is one of their sponsors (they are) ... that speaks volumes.
