Default My son hitting 500 yards

Took my son shooting on the weekend to check the zero on his 25-06. After we pulled out my .308 I set him up and he nailed a 10” gong at 500 yards his first shot, I was one proud papa. Tried to attach the video but wouldn’t let me.

Sweet. Good on your son.

Had a similar proud pops experience 10 plus years back when we took our boys to the Aheia hunter ed camp week and on range day, my 12 yr old was hitting the 300 yrd gong with no real prior shooting experience other than a .22.

Yea, its always nice to get their confidence up like that.

Last year I had my son shooting his dialed in 7-08 to 500m and he started to get too proficient. I then asked him to change things up from bench bag to what he may find in the field, just elbows, sitting, standing and using post. He settled back down a bit to hmmm.

Well done to your boy and to you for getting him out!
