Default Bobcat mount?

I am looking for ideas on getting a bobcat mounted or rugged. Anyone have any cool mounts. Im considering a live mount with a rabbit/grouse or even just a rug with full head mount. Also, who around Calgary would be a good taxidermist to do this work.
Yes I have the permit from F&W.

thanks for any input.

Rugs deform the look of the lower jaw so I am not a fan. Live mounts look awesome if you choose a taxidermist who is good with cats. There is a lot of taxidermists who sick at cats so shop around

I like the live mounts where the bobcat is on it’s hind legs trying to swat a grouse/pheasant out of the air. This would be my choice

Thanks Smoky, I really like those mounts too. After looking at pictures of bobcat mounts online, wow, I'm amazed at how many look horrible. The eyes are what stands out as maybe being the toughest part of perfecting cats. I will continue my search.

Lots of butcher jobs done on cats for sure and by taxidermists who are actually good at other species.

I know an awesome cat taxidermist in BC but I don’t doubt there is a good one here in Alberta that I just don’t know. Either way make sure you know the guy is good with cats before handing them your bobcat

A full body mount of a bobcat reaching up for a flying sage grouse or bird would look nice. Show off its belly fur. Another mount that would look real nice would be to have it mounted to look like it is jumping over a railing or object.(like the deer in the pic) Or a bobcat just laying in the basking position.

I have all the bits and such, mannequin etc. Hopefully in 2020.

It’s hard to tell by the pic but I might have seen those mounts before

Taxidermist who did them named Ray by chance?

Not sure. I could ask him. It's in the Cranbrook area. Cat is in Boone and Crockett.

You know what would be cool, Is a bobcat sitting on it haunches with a bird or rabbit under one paw, like he's just about to sit down and eat it …… would make for a great live mount.

The leaping actions shots have been done a thousand times, and are great, but a unique one like this would be spectacular.

Also agree that a quality taxidermist, who can use his talents and artistry to make a mount with accurately, realistically and interesting is worth every penny.

All of us have seen those cross eyed deer that look like a stiff sculpture fashioned by a pre schooler.

Cats (and fish) are particularly difficult.
