Default Favorite .243 Win. Handloads

Been playing with a Savage Axis in .243 Win. Have it shooting pretty well. Worked on the trigger and got it to a crisp 3.75 lbs. Torqued the guard, tang and base screws. Put on Burris rings and a good scope. Best and most consistent load so far is 40.5 grs. of IMR 4350, CCI 200 primer with the Hornady 87 grain HPBT. What .243 loads seem to work well for all the handloaders out there?

Hodgdon benchmark powder, 75 gr vmax and fed210m primers. 3000ish fps out of a 20"barrel and averaged under 1/2" for 6 3shot groups @ 100yards. this powder seems pretty stable in winter or summer conditions.

Nosler lists

55gr bullet most accurate powder H414
70gr bullet most accurate powder Varget
80gr bullet most accurate powder H380
85/90gr " " IMR 4831
95/100gr" " Viht N560

This might start you in the right direction if Benchmark doesnt work!

Default .243 loads

I use Varget powder with 55,58 and 70 bullets. Two with Nosler Ballistic Tips and other Hornady V-MAX. Still working on heavier loads!

I use 100 gr Sierra btsp over a stout charge of IMR 4831. Works quite well in a couple different rifles I've loaded for .

95gr Hornady SST's over 42.2gr of RL17 with a federal match primer.
very consistent load and def hot so make sure to work up slowly.
