Default Savage Axis in left hand :)

Couldn't find any threads about this yet. Was looking around on some retail sites this morning and was shocked to find that the Axis is now available in left hand!

Any lefties out there that have one yet? Or plan on trying one out?

Slow clap for Savage....probably will never buy one but good for them!

Now only if Weatherby would do the same with the V2 line...

I only know one left handed shooter, and he has a job so he won't be buying one...

Caaaaaant wait!

Might be just the ticket for the GF's son who can hunt big game next year. He's right handed but left eye dominant so it's been a real struggle. Maybe there is left handed pool noodles for the truck window. Yeeeees!!!

My wife shoots the same way. I was looking for a left handed .22 but might have to get this in a .223 instead.

Wonder if any of these Savage LH will be in for the yr end sales ?
Likely not, and properly add 30% to the price.

The old lady's little brother knocked down his first WT buck with her Youth Axis 7-08 this season. He loved the gun, but is left eye dominate, so we ordered him a lefty one in from Cabelas. Suprised they even had it available in the youth model, great for young or smaller shooters.

It may not be pretty, but you'd be hard pressed to get more bang for buck than the Axis, got one myself for yotes in .243.

was the rifle in stock? Have you taken delivery yet? Thinking of ordering from Cabelas as well, got some gift cards to burn up.

I have an Axis .223 (RH) and they work well on coyotes. I did put a basix trigger in it and upgraded the scope but it is a very accurate gun.
Personally I dont mind the look of the Axis, but then I have never been one that feels I have to spend thousands on a gun to have it shoot well.

We ordered it online monday. Got a message wedneday it was shipped to the store (Edmonton Cabela's) and should arrive within a week.

Only thing about the LH youth model is you can't get the package with the cheap scope with it. Not a big issue as his dad wants to put better optics on it anyways.
