Default Restricted hand gun transportation rules...

Hey Guys,
It's probably been on here in amongst the upteen thousand threads(feel free to direct me to the page), but this question can be answered in a comment or two.
My brother has a lic. hand gun he'd like to bring to town to shoot at the range as a visitor over the long weekend. He belongs to the Cal. Shooting place off of blackfoot. What's involved in getting him to shoot here in Medicine HAT?
I told him he couldn't do it unless he's in a shooting tournament. I feel 50/50 on that statement.
I only have a non restricted lic myself.
Thanks again in advance...

Just get him to call the CFO and explain his situation. Depending on the mood of whoever he talks to he may well get an ATT with defined storage location conditions that would allow the trip.

/edit. Nevermind. It's Friday evening so he won't be talking to anyone at the CFO for this weekend. Next time though...

If he has a LATT, no problem, he can travel to an approved range. Just has to ensure that he follows the letter of the laws concerning transport.
