Default Lee Collet neck die?

Guys that have used them, any opinions? Looking at buying the lee collet neck die and a Forster seating die instead of redding dies that I've been using for other calibers.

Used them for 308, 6.5X55. Work great. Might need a body die to bump shoulder back once in awhile. Haven't had that problem but heard about it. I have been less than impressed with overpriced Redding seating dies, and their sizing dies too. John Whidden at Whidden Gunworks makes a good seater die, much like the Forster. Also recommend Whidden for custom die orders.

Yup, no problems.
Just make sure you still have a full length sizer did too, because soone or later you'll need to bump the shoulders back on your cases.

Cheap and easy, although be cognizant of the setup on an RCBS press. Since they do not cam over you need to watch how much pressure you are applying.

I was tired yesterday and wanted to neck size 243ai and as I pressed down I actually popped the threaded cap off the top of the die when dropping the handle down(seamed like a very limited amount of applied pressure for that but who knows). 30$ later I have a new die set so it wasn't all that bad!

Love the collet dies, no lube required. And for sure, at one point, the shoulders need bumping. I've made myself gauges to measure the forward expansion of the shoulder and likewise measure how far they get bumped back.

LEE has sets with full length sizing die and collet die for a very good price, I like their Factory Crimp die too.

You can get a stop guide (colar) that fits on your ram to prevent over stroking.

I use the collet dies on my .223 I haven't noticed any shoulders needing bumping yet cartridges are chambering easily. Is this the gauge to check ?

Wilson case length headspace gauge

I have been using Kee Coolet dies on many different cartridges since they came on the market and love them!
By coincidence I don't use them for my .303's because I happen to have an RCBS neck die that works well .

They are handy but don't always give much neck tension so I have turned down the rod a thou to give better neck tension and accuracy in those rifles.
