Default Epic Pike Ice Fishing Video

This past summer, my oldest son turned 16 years old and got himself a truck. He had 3 goals for this past ice fishing season. 1 - catch a big walleye; 2 - land a burbot over 30"; 3 - catch a pike over 20 lb....all without dad present. Him and his friend fished 47 times this winter and even though they caught a lot of walleye, they didn't get the big one they were after. They were able to catch quite a few burbot (including one over 30") and landed 3 pike over 20 lb (as well as many others between 10-20 lb). Unfortunately, only the last one was captured on video.

My 14 year old son has been making quite a few hunting and fishing videos and recently bought himself a drone....and on the last trip of the hard water season we had an epic day - 42 hits, 26 pike landed, a couple of personal bests for the kids, a 21.5 lb beast, many double headers and drone footage. All fish were released.

Here is the link to the video. I hope you enjoy.

They invested a lot time this year...because of COVID all after school sports were cancelled so they fished 2 or 3 times per week. They even went night fishing a couple of times....out until after midnight. Super excited for their success.

Great job Dad for encouraging a healthy passion and memories he will have for the rest of his life. Those are some nice looking fish.
