Bring two spare tires if your driving. Have some pizza at Kostas in LA.

Let us know how it goes! I know a few people interested in heading up there, would like to hear your experience!

I'd be curious too, they advertise pike averaging 20lbs, but the vast majority of fish on their site appear to be well under that. I'll be curious to hear your results though.

Not to mention their pics date back to 2003. Some of the fish holds make me cringe, let alone the amount of fish bonked. I get Sask has different regs, but yikes...

The road is fine. Ive trailerd boats up it. Camp has all the comforts of home and lots of sheltered water. Hit the Coop gas bar in PA for any last minute tackle additions.

Its been a few years since I have been there.
We really enjoyed ourselves when I was there.
We caught walleyes in the river right by the camp until our arms ached.
Explored up the river to the lake and caught lakers and whitefish.
No huge lakers, biggest was around 8 pounds.
Explored down river for jacks but no big ones caught and we were not targeting those anyway - just having fun.
There is also a small campground and a lake a short distance north of the camp. Caught a bunch of smaller lakers in there as well.
There are lots of fish there, but it is like anywhere else with road access.
You aren't going to catch many 20+ fish unless you are prepared to really work for them.
I have been fishing up that road and others since 1977. Don't let the road scare you. I have never had a flat tire and never been stranded. Just go at a steady, easy pace and things will be fine.

Default Fishing Trip

I was not able to go Fishing, but my friends and some family did go on August 2nd and they had a good trip.
Camp was great, new people had just taken over the camp and were very friendly and helpful.
The fishing wasn't the best, they said you had to fish for what you caught and they had a guide as well.
Road was good, a little rough that's all.
They will go again, but in the Spring.
