Now can we be as objective after a win.
Kass did better, but not great. Saw a bit more fire out of him for parts of the game. Would like to see the intensity stay a big more consistent. I didn't hate him last night, but did see some wandering a being lost in the defensive end.
JP looked really good last night. Lots of shots, lots of hustle and seemed to be positioned well. Keep him on the third line but like he is getting some shifts up on McDavid's line.
Chaisson was better, but still way to slow and super soft on the puck. Wouldn't be sad to see him go.
2nd line still really liking it. Kahun will be a work in progress. Still like the fire and drive of the line.
Koekkoek looked just ok, as did the the other bottom D-men. Larsson did better but not great and Jones looked a little lost at times. Bear and Nurse looked really good all game. I like em.
Koskinen looked much better and wasn't fighting the puck as much and was well in position. Will give you a chance to win with that type of goal tending.
Over all very good game from the Oil. McDavid/Nuge played a hell of a game. On the flip side, the less that I say about the 4th line the better.
