Default Quad for 10-12yr old

Hey all,
Starting to shop for a 4x4 quad for my 10 & 12 yr old kids. Have a Honda 90 2wd right now that the kids love, but any slush/mud and they’re spinning wheels. Looking for a lightweight compact 4x4 quad that the kids can handle easily. We always have a rule with the kids, that they can’t ride a machine that they can’t push off themselves.... Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thx.
Mike

I'm not sure if there's a lot of options for a 4x4 in a small quad. I bought daughter a can am ds250 when she was 10 or 11. She'll be 14 in a couple weeks and it's still plenty big for her.

This. Then they’ll have a quad for life too.

Yamaha Wolverine 350 if you can find one. Maybe Polaris Hawkeye 300. Most small displacement 4x4 ATV's likely weigh just about as much as the larger displacement ones. Maybe a larger 2wd ATV would do the trick. More ground clearance, larger tires and more weight for traction do wonders in the mud/snow compared to the kids' ATVs.

I was in the same boat, kids had the Bombardier 90cc, moved up to a Honda 200, 2wd. It was perfect but was hard to find back then(10 yrs back).

If your after a 4x4, do the old honda 300 as mentioned. Bullet proof and light.
