Default My 3-hour whitetail hunt

Well after getting almost two feet of snow at the cabin, I grunted this Buck out got him with the 444 Marlin ,and got some bad genes out of the herd not the one I was looking for this year but quite happy with the one shot kill at 180 yards offhand, and meat in the freezer, time to start ice fishing.

Good job R. Hopefully close out my WT buck this weekend then head back up for a last try for my elk. Tough year in the muck up there.

Neat looking buck. Good on you for braving the crappy conditions and coming home successful.

The first thing I saw was the right side, it looks like he's giving you the finger!

My dad and I are going out to the old homestead in 258 this weekend, him for his MD draw, me for my general WT.

Usually they have injuries to their testicles when their antlers grow funky this one was fine

Nice deer. I have never had the good fortune to shoot a freaky one like that. I would definitely do a Euro on that one. IIRC, experts say the only way to truly find out if it is in their genes is to eat the testicles. The gut pile is likely close to the cabin

Dang you have a nice place there.

My son got a three horn few years back, grossed a lot, netted very little. He was a big boy that was good eating though.

Congrats on the buck, fun when they come to a grunt!!
