Totally agree with you cat! People put too much emphasis on antler size. Any more I’m just as happy if not more to shoot a doe or a cow. I actually just shot my largest deer to date about 5 hours ago and couldn’t be happier. Not a huge 3x3 rack but massive body. That buddy will feed quite a few people and that’s why I hunt.

To the op that is a booner buck in my books!

You are very rude. People shoot different deer for different reasons, and it's a fact not every animal can be a record breaker whether three or three thousand are shot across the province each year.

Here are a few reasons to shoot a deer too small for Zeb: you need meat, mentoring another hunter, culling, or hunting in an area without giant trophies. There are countless more.

You are the one that needs someone to mentor you, not the OP. Try to learn both respect and the real reasons to hunt. It isn't a competition and size isn't everything. You're wrong about what is important in hunting and it would be a shame if you imparted these values to someone else.

That is a beauty mule buck. If that is the only pic you have of it it would be a good idea to get it on a computer and crop off all the gore. Then it is more pleasing to the eye especially if non-hunters see it.
