what to do ?

i bought my first archery equipment to do anything and everything to extend my hunting season, i bought what myself, and the salesman at cabbelas thought was a very suitable bow, which to my delight, was on clearance! he took me into the shooting range and i shot what felt like 60-70 arrows into a target while he helped me adjust my sights, and gave my pointers to help my form and consistency, by the end i was bouncing arrows off each other at 10 yards.

i bought it and took it home, took it to an actual archery range and to not my delight found out that they sold me a youth bow and because it was a clearance item it was final sale,

the draw length is good for me, 26.5" and the draw weight is sufficient at 50lbs. is there any other big difference between that and an adult bow,

the bow is a pse chaos.

If the bow fits and the weight is sufficient there is technically nothing wrong with a "youth bow". If however this is not the bow that you want I'd take it back. So what if it was clearance, was it in the bargain cave? Even if it was I'd make a stink and they should return it. Then head to a reputable archery shop, I have bought stuff from Cabelas before but if I was getting fit out for a bow I'd go to Accurate Archery, Jimbows, Lost Arrow or another reputable place and let true professionals set you up for bow hunting.

FWIW I hardly every buy anything from Cabelas that they refuse to take back like the bargain cave stuff. Who wants 10% off on a pair of shoes that you can't return if they don't fit? lol They are so cheap that way, they have very expensive scopes in there that they won't warranty or return but hey there 5% off. lol

The draw length is good, the weight is good, you shoot it good, but now you are not happy because someone told you it is marketed for youth , which is lighter weight, and shorter draw length ?
For 2x or 3X the price you paid you can get a short draw, 50# bow that isn't marketed for Youth, or smaller statured people.
Learn to shoot this one, then when you know what you like and want look for that.

It's a short draw bow, usually sold to youth based on stature. It is still a decent bow that properly fits you. Not much more to ask for.

Just gave the bow a brief google look up. It seems to be not just a youth bow but one designed to fit people with shorter draw lengths. You say that it fits and 50lbs is enough draw weight to hunt with so I'd use it, get good at shooting with it and have fun this fall. If you got it at a good price, even better.

I would shoot it for a year or two. It's draw weight can be adjusted up to 60 lbs so it gives you room to move up from 50 lbs.
You will be able to kill any big game animal.
It came up as a direct comparison with the diamond archery razor edge, which is what my good friend uses to hunt. I've shot it and it was nice to shoot.

The bow itself shoots well,
I just figured there must be tons of performance in missing out on.

Looks like I'll keep it and hopefully bag something with it, then retire it in a few years time

And yeah I feel like I did get a very good deal.
Fully outfitted with sights quiver arrow rest peep sights and stabilizer all for under 400 for a brand new never shot now.

if the bow feels good, learn to shoot/bowhunt with it....you can always upgrade later if you get addicted like all of us replying.

It it shoots well and fits, you are well on your way. Best analogy I have is a rifle I bought well over a decade ago. It was a Browning Micro with a short length of pull, designed for younger shooters & women. Fit me like a glove, shot well and accounted for as many head of game as all my other rifles combined. Hunt with it for a few years and upgrade if you think it is warranted. A 50lb bow is a 50lb bow, and meets the minimum requirements, whether it is an "adult" or "youth" model.

Being a youth or Ladies bow does not necessarily mean its an inferior bow by any means, simply means the bow was designed for smaller frame shooters, and will result in the same end game as any with a well placed arrow.
some entry level bows cost even less than youth /ladies bows
