Default Black Friday

I almost posted this in Sears liquidation, but didn't want to hijack the thread.

BLACK FRIDAY!

What the ad says - and what it means:

"All Items Up To 50% Off!" - 0% falls within that range

"Everything On Sale For a Fraction Of The Price!" - 99/100 is a fraction

"Gifts For Less Than $50!" - $49.95

"We Pass Our Savings On To You!" - we got 'em cheap at a Fire Sale, so we can afford to sell 'em for 10% off retail, as is, and still make a fat profit

"The Lowest Prices In Town!" - not including taxes, administration fees, recycle fees, and fuel fees

"As Low As $300!" - but we only have 2 of 'em in the store

"*Some conditions may apply." - the conditions will apply to YOU

Can Tire is famous for that crap.$100 off a topline Food Saver,(tiny letters..no rain checks) 50% off Mincota electric boat motors...same thing. 70% off heavy duty Quonset tarp shelters...same thing.
I was first through the doors and scored their(HUGE DEAL) everyone behind me was real mad.
When I got the boat motor they only had one in the store on a display rack so I took it off ,the manager tried to stop me but he didn`t have any more and wasn`t going to get any so I explained to him about false advertising. Made him get me the box and the manual too. They will sell one thing cheap as hell to get 100 guys in the shop to buy junk they never came for. I got the shelter, the motor and the food saver cause I know how they operate so I was first in.And I scout the store so I ain`t wandering around. Buyer beware. It`s kinda like hunting actually. Scout, be first.

Here's one for the Sears thread:

"All Appliances Come With a 10-Year Warranty!" - except parts and labor

Canadian retailers can't understand why we don't get as excited about Black Friday as they do in the states.

I saw an ad for a store in the USA that offered spend $500 and get a $500 coupon for store purchases.
I saw one for a Canadian retailer who is offering no GST. Another says if you spend $250 you get a free pointsetia.

Is it just me? what is wrong with our system? Do they all think we are idiots?
Rant over.

We actually found a really good deal at the Bay, they have a espresso coffee machine on sale $750. Reg price is like $1700 but of course! I checked around and the same model even in us is selling from $1000 and up to $1300
Sending wife tomorrow to buy it.

I managed to find some pretty decent deals. Got the "Instant Pot" for $70 (regular $130) at CDN tire - got there at store opening on Thursday and they were sold out in two hours. Got $160 off Apple Watch for the better half. Ordered a few Google Home minis for the house $39/each - we have the full size Google Home and really like it. Couple PS4 games for half price.

Just about finished Christmas shopping!

Talking

I always stay home on Black Fridays, and count the thousands of dollars I saved

And just for the record, when do the Whites get theirs?!
