What would be the best material to tighten up the front stud on my Sako stock

is it a blind screw or in fact a threaded screw with a nut on the end?
if it is a blind crew, I would use epoxy inn the hole with a bit of oil on the screw then wipe the screw.

Wood or synthetic stock?
I would just screw one of these in and get the 10/24 swivel stud to put in it. You can find all kinds on amazon and have them delivered to your door.

I have used those wire dish scour pads in the past. Unravel it and wrap it around the sling stud. It will bite. Have done this often for wood stocks.
Two part epoxy if it’s synthetic or plastic...

Here ya go. Epoxy will work, for a while but for a permanent fix this is the ticket. They come in different sizes and different types of metal so pick whichever one suits your needs.

This is what I did. Had to remove some wood to get the nut deep enough, but worked like a charm.

The above is what I always prefer to do If possible .
Lately I have also used the flush mount, push button release system as well
