Default Migratory Bird licence fee increase

Not sure if this was posted before but some AO members most likely have a interest in this.

The Canadian Wildlife Service is proposing to increase the price of the Conservation Stamp and Permit. They would like feedback.

They can double it, sane with fishing licences of they want. As long as the money goes towards conservation of the resource and better enforcement I'm ok with it personally.

I basically told them the same thing. Spend the money on what it's intended for and no hunter will be upset about it. Use it aganst hunters or general coffers and I call it theft . That's pretty much what I put on my serve.

Default Fee increase

Years ago I used to buy all the licences and tags I could as the money went to fish anf wildlife, conservation. Etc. A few years ago I cannot remember when all the money shifted to general revenue so I stopped. From what I can find out a lot of money is going to things other than hunting and fishing.any and all govt. seem reluctant to let the truth out until they do I will wait and watch alto I am 78 yrs old I have a few good hunts in me yet. Revenue from licences only pays a fraction of the costs of migratory game bird program.
The value of licence fees has diminished due to inflation. Increases as proposed, do not even totally make up for inflation losses.
An increase is way overdue.
Licencing costs are a very small fraction of fuel costs scouting birds in season. No biggie to me.

I clicked on this thread to type the exact words as written above.

As long as the money is being spent properly to preserve habitat, law enforcement etc, I'm all for it.
