Default Cadomin

Just spent 10days in Cadomin camping/quading and fishing. This is our 4th time out there, we saw more animals this trip than the last 3 combined. Totals were 2 elk, 1 grizz, 4 big horns and uncountable deer.
Teck is finally making some moves to redo the trails they had blocked due to mining activities. The new Cadomin Mountain trail must be mismarked, it ends up going up a suicide hill. Not even close to the family friendly trail from the past. Sent an email to Teck about that for more info. The other new trail is the Drummond Ridge Trail. Its just a graded path through the mine to the lake and ends. Yet all signs say this way to the trail. Assuming a trail head was at the end, we were disappointed. Still waiting for the Cardinal River trail to reopen. Two years and counting...
The mine must have been on shut down. Didn't see any transports any of the times we drove the road.

Nice pics. We just drove to Cadomin from our place in Hinton this past Wednesday. Saw 2 moose, a whitetail buck... and a wolf.

Wolf was completely unafraid and stood by roadside for several minutes.

That's only the 2nd time we've seen a wolf. The first time was driving up to Miette Hotspring, where a wolf and bear were having a standoff over a dead animal.

That mine is closed now and I believe in reclamation has started.

Tons of areas to hike around the mine, just have to figure out where to go. Myself and my daughter cut our own trails everywhere and have had more amazing views than most will ever see.

No, but you can dance with them any time you like.

I did hear back from Teck and have had a nice email conversation with them. I did get a link with trail map info.

Yes, I think it might be. No signs confirming that, my first time there.
It's a pretty spectacular sight, the photo does not do justice to the color of the water.
