Default Help finding 300wsm 180 tsx

Hi, new to the forum. I'm looking for federal loaded 300wsm 180 tsx. I would load them but do not have time this year. If anyone sees some at a gun show or knows where some are in a store could tell me where would be great. Thank you.

Maybe give customhandloader a call. He was able to make us some 168 ttsx’s that are not for sale anywhere in stores. We shoot 300 win’s

Thanks, I will keep that in mind. I did manage to find a box of 180 remington swift sciroccos. Any experience with these bullets on elk or moose?

Sciroccos are premium bullets
They are essentially a heavy duty accubond

No I have not tried those bullets yet. Have tried a bunch but not those yet. I think any 180’s should be good for elk or moose. The only ones I have seen blow up on impact are the winchester silvertips. Was a long shot but you would think out of a 300 it should work. Left a big 3” by 3” crater right in the kill zone.

That is interesting .
I have a friend who has been shooting elk and moose with 180 Silvertips out of a 300 mag for many years with no issues.

Yea who knows why it didnt work properly this particular time. I’m sure they are good bullets just for some reason it did not do what it was supposed to, maybe it was barreling upon impact.

We went back next day to track it, was still nearby and my friend finished the job with a 150 grain ttsx 7mm rm.
