I am all about new gadgets and what not....but a deers belly and back will vary in measurements from an elk belly and back at the same distance due to size....what if you hunt turkey or smaller animals?

My personal vote is on gimmick

In the video you can't tell me that gal didn't know how far the target was

Default Dead on

I shoot instinctive so don't use the gizmos but apparently this works the same way as mil dots do in a rifle scope so I can imagine that it does indeed work.

About two years ago I bought a Bushnell range finder on ebay for $100, the reason being that I wasn't happy with my existing range finder. A friend of mine is an avid archer and highly recommended this brand. I bet you've been on the range more times than you can remember. You know, it's that big place with the big flag in front where people go to try out their new guns or bows before hunting season. Yes, that place. But have you ever thought about the importance of a range finder? Why are they even needed? Well, depending on your life experience and age you might have different opinions regarding this matter but I think I have a pretty good one as well. So without any more introduction let's plunge straight into another one of my sports related articles.

I dont use the dead ringer but i do have hash marks on my sight housing that indicate rough yardage on a bull elk brisket. I used a sharpie to draw the lines. Yes it works but only on the brisket size of the game you set it up for.

I think a person should have to carry a range finder especially for archery i have found elk and moose with **** archery shots and all the meat gone to waste. Not saying it doesn’t happen with rifle.
