Default Fox Creek, Whitecourt, Swan Hills Grizzlies

Hi, I've spent lots of time in theses areas over the years. Ive seen lots of black bears but never a grizzly. Have you had any encounters/sightings and what were the circumstances?

I seen one griz 2 km south of swan on the highway eating from a bag of garbage. I thought it was a cinnamon bear, but as I got closer I notices it seemed really big. So I went back and stopped about 15 feet from him, rolled down my window for a better look, he just looked up.at me and went back to eating the garbage. Watched him.for a few minutes until another truck came.down the the highway.

There are lots of bears in those areas, but they are hard to find or see. I shot one about ten years ago south of swan hills. Followed a lot of tracks without seeing the bear making them, but they are there.

Saw a monster around 2005 south west of swan hills, just walking the road one day.
