Gun range?

Anyone shoot at wapiti shooters club in grande prairie? How many yards do they have for rifles? Is it allways packed? Thanks jay

I helped build the clubhouse about a thousand years ago it seems. They used to shoot to 500 meters.

I was a member for many years. Rifle range was closed completely about 5 years ago due to stray rounds ending up in the housing development south of the golf course. There was talk of covering the top in but don't know if it was ever done. I moved from GP 4 years ago so call them and see if they ever re-opened it or stayed just with pistol and trap/skeet and archery.

IIRC the range a wapiti is only out to 200m or 300m,.. I believe the ValleyView range is out to about 500m. I just joined but haven't shot yet,.. and the couple of times I have been there to visit it has been dead,.. of course its winter,.. so the majority are shooting handguns downstairs. It will probably pick up once the weather warms up.

I'm a member at Wapiti, and shoot there from time to time.

You can shoot at 50, 100 or 200.

Rarely is it packed. I usually go in the afternoon during the week and maybe 1 or 2 other guys there, if any.
