Default Lost Bear Spray Safety Tab

Out hiking around the other day and noticed when I got back to the bike the safety tab on the bear spray got knocked off somewhere. Anybody find any other diy options that work as safety tabs other than trying to find a new one?

I've lost a couple over the years. Looked high and low on the internet and unless you have a US shipping address or a 3D printer you may has well consider it a 60 dollar bill lost to the forest

Considered scrounging around the Bear spray/ paint/ chemicals drop off places in the city but now they're placed into locking containers so that criminals can't steal them.

The first cans of bear spray had a pin through the handle. You pulled the pin and then squeezed the trigger. Could you drill two small holes and fashion a pin through the handle.

Here you go these guys sell a replacement Safety Wedge Clip here.
You could also try to carve one out of scraps.

Thanks for the ideas and offers guys, was looking for something that might work as a quick substitute so I could still carry it safely today. Of course I discharged and threw out an expired one in the fall, didn't think to keep it as a spare.

I'm in Calgary as well, do you still have access to the printer to print out a bear spray replacement tab? Lost mine last week.
