Definitely seem to be working better as a whole. Our special teams are way better. Nice to see the guys who are supposed to be scoring actually scoring. Just need a few more going in. We are good on the back end, the defense is solid, and Tendie of course is so nice to not stress every shot.

We can stop deflecting it into our own net anytime now. 4 out of last 5 goals. So bad.

Yea, it's kind of frustrating.

Should be 3 games for that minimum being a repeat offender and all. That truly was classless
Anxiously await the pulverizing. Maybe it should come from his brother for dirtying the family name.

Speaks volumes you condone an intentional knee to the head of a goalie

It's Tkachuk. So of course he is automatically guilty of everything, it's always intentional, well planned and thought out days in advance, and practiced in secret. I don't know why the league doesn't just give him a lethal injection. It's really too bad he isn't a class act like Kassian.

Didn't see a single oiler fan defend Kassian when he kicked someone in the chest. In fact from what I saw everyone agreed with the suspension and called it an idiotic move. That was on the oilers forum

I agree with the lethal injection

I mean it's not like he tried to put his skate blade through someone's chest. If a team doesn't want a player falling on their goalie, don't lean into him. If they all just stayed standing nothing out have happened. Did he try and avoid landing on him? Probably not but, intentionally doing it is a stretch. Change the name bar out on the jersey and I would say this in no where near a topic. Enjoy you Oilers game tonight. Go Flames.

You're a mod now so I'm gonna take your word for it. I've got all the TSN and ESPN channels here at the hotel, but somehow in Bolivia that means you have 12 channels of soccer. But it's hard to believe he hasn't been planning that knee to the head timed perfectly with the hit from behind since at least Bantam....

1 shot on net this period, I'm thinking that's not going to cut it.

Pretty much.

This sums it up nicely:

"Did you see what happened involving Jack Campbell and Matthew Tkachuk in the dying stages?

Keefe: I think I know what you are referring to, but I didn’t take it as anything, really. I haven’t thought about it or discussed it. It is a non-issue for me."

That's how "dirty" a play it was, the Leafs coach "didn't take it as anything", hasn't "thought about it or discussed it", and, other than fans of certain teams, "it is a non-issue".

Don't forget the hands out the break the fall and lessen the impact....

I guess I could let him speak for himself, but he's a mod now, maybe I"ll get some future leeway, but I think he's saying Tkachuk's actions weren't intentionally done....

Hockey players know what is and what isn’t accidental. Hopefully someone will accidentally fall on Turtles and drive their knee into the back of his head driving his face into the ice, THEN Lamers will be singing a different tune.

Correct.
Even if it was intentional, it would of been so perfectly done that nobody but him would ever know.

Probably not. No point in all hockey fans being such dismal whiners when Oilers fans are so good at it. Gonna let you carry that flag. If Tkachuk gets his own medicine handed to him now and then, good. Just like it was good for Kassian to get his lid knocked off by Tkuchuk a couple times. Getting his own medicine so to speak.

Can we hear a big whaa-men?

Seems like a similar game plan they used against Vancouver, get slaughtered on the shot clock in the first, get down, then dominate in the second and 3rd.

Hope that's the plan anyway...

Is Hrudey a major Leafs homer or is it just me?

Making it sound like Anderson is the greatest goalie to ever lace them up...

And is Rick Ball the play-by-play guy? He does an excellent job IMO.
