Default The Crow is low low low.......

Fished ‘Walters hole’ down on the lower Crow yesterday.

2 dead fish on the bottom.

Never seen the water level that low in 30 years of fishing the Crow. And I fished it lots over those 30 years, especially in the early spring.

Little concerning.

You can pick out the fish.... in like 80-90% of the holes.

I quit after 1/2 hour or fishin. It just didn’t feel right.
It’s dry dry here and I’m of the opinion that the snowpack is prolly below average.

Might be something to consider if your headed out this way.

May a return to closing it between 31 Oct to 15 Jun is in order?

Lightbulb Busy Low Crow

Have not been down there myself but have heard its been busy..... never heard of a low oxygen die off in the winter /spring on a river but given the time and traffic likely from fish handling during a period when they are in survival mode as it is ..... I'm sure there is a bunch of the same on the Bow but you can not see them as easily...... given the pressure on these streams during the open water season it might not hurt to go back to the old days when the streams were closed from October to June
