Default Late season ducks and geese

Hey all,

Anyone out there hunt December ducks and geese? I've never done it but it seems the ducks are out flying in the evenings around the river. Anyone do this? Looking for some tips to get in to it. I have my texas rigged decoys.

Tons of ducks and geese in the South through December. We hunt them on crop fields right through to 21 Dec.

how far south is south.. I'm in the Edmonton area. Is fields the only option this time of year? Should I be looking for open flowing water?

I'd like to go out again, but I don't think I've seen either in the last month.

Battle River near Forestburg has lots of ducks and geese still, drive down, spot, get permission, shoot. Good luck.
