My 16 year old daughter works at wal mart. She said almost daily there are customers that yell and scream and have tantrums about silly things. She got yelled at by a lady for telling her that the jacket her kid is wearing needs to be taken off to be scanned. The pockets were packed full of opened hot wheels cars. Numerous instances of calling the police for shoplifting, smoking dope in store and other things. The guy in the video is the scum of the earth.

Stores should not be asking people to wear masks

Thats an enforcement job. Cops. Peace officers. Not some door guy at walmart

If walmart wants enforcement, they should call cops for attendance and enforcement. And when the cops dont show, you will soon understand that the enforcement part of these "mandatory" rules is really just BS......

Amazing isn't it ? He could be killing the guy on the ground and someone has to take a video as well.

Wrong. The store has an obligation to protect the other customers in the store.
If the customer doesn't want to wear a mask...shop elsewhere.
We have 'walked' a number of people out or our shop...if they can't understand we are trying to protect our staff and customers they aren't worth having as customer.
I have a couple of good customers who don't want to wear a mask...they phone ahead and we take the items out to them into the parking lot.
It ain't rocket science.

What ****es me off most about this type of thing are the people who dont step in and help. We had an incident here in Cold Lake months ago at Walmart where a female RCMP officer was taken down and severely assaulted and injured by a guy who beat the livin poop out of her. People stood around and watched. Me and my buddy were talking about it shortly after and both agreed that had we have been there, the guy would definitely have regretted that decision and would've lost the use of both his arms for the rest of his life. I can't stand cowards.

X2...I have instructed my staff not to engage anyone not wearing a mask. As per the rules, it is up to bylaw to enforce it.

I agree with many people here about stepping in. The problem is in this country though, we have a horrible court system. When you take things like this into your own hands your risking your own freedom. What if you choke this guy out and he dies? Has a knife, and uses it on you? Our world is much different than 30+ years ago. I do hope this guy goes to jail for a lonngg time!

Years ago at Virden Manitoba the cattle auction mart was right beside the highway. A Mountie stopped a car and was taking a beating. A couple of the ranchers happen to see what was going on. They attended and handed out some prairie justice.

Anyone with an excuse for not helping someone in that situation is just a cop out for being a coward.

I don’t understand people , nowadays some people would video someone dying or being killed rather than helping. Recently a friend was attacked by a pitbull, several people watched but did nothing, she was able to get away from the dog but could have been killed. What’s wrong with people?

A friend owns a business in Fort McMurray, and he received an e-mail directing businesses to not confront anyone, or attempt to enforce the bylaw. They are supposed to call bylaw if an offense occurs.

How can you stand by and watch a beating like that, has him defenseless and on the ground and then kicks him in the nards too.

I see a video like that and wonder where are the men? In my dads era, there would have been a line up of men wanting a piece of that guy. A choke hold till he is snoring would have been sweet to see that guy get. Well a hard kick in the ribs and then two to his nards for revenge would have been sweeter. In todays world the guy trying to stop the assault would probably get in more trouble than the guy doing the assault.

Nothing is really wrong with people. People are just doing what they are told. The authorities tell people repeatedly to mind their own business or not to get involved etc.

Would I stand by and watch someone get injured? No but you can’t blame others for just doing what they are told to do.

Hope he gets his ass sued off, he would not want me making a monetary judgement after seeing that attack.
