Default What are you using for a speed loader?

What’s out there for a… ease of use, durable /functional in cold weather speed loader for loose powder?
What’ are you using? What to stay away from?

I use a measure made out of horn that is cut to 130 grains and a loading block.

The Thompson Center ones with bullet starter are the best I've used.

Thanks guys.

Cat,
are you using horn or antler? I'm trying to make a couple but with drilled out antler. Still sorting out what to use as a "cork".

any other ideas or reviews?

I've nade some from horn, and some from antler.
About 20 years ago I made a set of powder speed loaders from antler with screw tops using dies and taps from Lee Valley.
They were pretty cool and worked very well, the fella hung them off his possibles bag.
I find that when I am walking I like stuff inside the bag however, and prefer to use the horn to carry powder.
The loading block itself is made out of walnut.
You can buy brass tops from TOW that will work for a top, or you can build them on a lathe out of wood....
