Somehow it’s our fault for resenting being bent over to take it dry again and again and twice on Sunday. I guess we should be more thankful for the attention?.

I would disagree what you are actually seeing is the result of a country that no longer works together to make sure everyone prospers and creates solutions that can help your neighbors.
As a country sadly Canada is being stripped of its culture, patriotism, pride and unity. As a result people do not view there countrymen as allies but instead they have become liabilities
It’s a sad state this country has reached but without a change in direction it’s only going to get worse

So I am a snowflake because I can see the big picture Dave ? Wishing ill on those affected by this rail strike is no different than others in our nation wishing ill on our Energy Industry here in Alberta.

As I recall, the the last referendum voted against separation. That tells me that at least half the people in Quebec do not agree with the Bloc's political agenda.
I wonder how many in Alberta would vote to let innocent people in Quebec freeze in the dark. I would hope it is less then 1 percent.
If it's more then 1 percent then we have nothing to be proud of.

I can see Sledhead's point in that co-operative dialogue is more productive, but that's been tried. Quebec has been gifted hundreds of billions in 'carrots' and like the spoiled child of the Dominion, they've grown to expect, nay, demand it. Some of us have grown tired of this utterly futile carrot approach and want to try some judicious use of the stick.
Perhaps he could allow that many of us are venting and we are glad to see evidence of our provincial officials finally trying to accomplish things on our behalf. Even Sledhead would have to concede that this resentment was earned by its recipients.

It's too bad that some people feel the need to wish others ill. However, it's hard not to laugh at the irony of the BQ running their mouths off about the evils of the Oil and gas industry and then not even one month later getting a big dose of reality. It's doubtful it will change any of their opinions on Canadian industry or infrastructure however.

I am far from happy with the prospect that this could cause death to fellow canadians (small C, yes I know) and certainly do not know if only Liberal voters are involved, but this does shine a fairly bright light on what could happen for Eastern canada (small c) if they were more cooperative with us. It's important. Trouble is sparkly socks will find another way to screw us over. Maybe bring in a thousand trains a day from down south and send us the bill.
Too bad for them that bright light is becoming more dim daily.

In 2016 Quebec sent fire fighters to Fort Mac, this past summer Quebec sent fire fighters to High Level to help out there.
We could argue numbers all day long but the simple fact is, Quebec has stood with us in times of crisis many times over the years.

Guys this is a classic example of "Pipelines, Pipelines" for safe and secure transportation of hydrocarbon in Canada. Hope Quebec finally gets the message, only a idiot would recommend transportation of high volumes of propane by rail or truck on icy roads.

What many of us don't see are the hardships created in Alberta because of our troubling economy. More suicides, more broken up families, businesses being shut down & bankruptcies. There is far more trauma here than caused by any shortage of propane in Quebec.
