Quebec screwing us over for more than a hundred years has done far more to "prevent our great country from progressing for the betterment of all canadians" than our "poor attitudes" about it.

Somehow it’s our fault for resenting being bent over to take it dry again and again and twice on Sunday. I guess we should be more thankful for the attention?.

Someone here is trying to give us Stockholm Syndrome....

I would disagree what you are actually seeing is the result of a country that no longer works together to make sure everyone prospers and creates solutions that can help your neighbors.

As a country sadly Canada is being stripped of its culture, patriotism, pride and unity. As a result people do not view there countrymen as allies but instead they have become liabilities

It’s a sad state this country has reached but without a change in direction it’s only going to get worse

So I am a snowflake because I can see the big picture Dave ? Wishing ill on those affected by this rail strike is no different than others in our nation wishing ill on our Energy Industry here in Alberta.

You sir fall into the same groups as those you dislike from the east, you are no better than those who show anger towards our suffering in the west.

By the way, I am far from a snowflake, Nancy or any other verbal dribble you can throw into the mix...

As I recall, the the last referendum voted against separation. That tells me that at least half the people in Quebec do not agree with the Bloc's political agenda.

I wonder how many in Alberta would vote to let innocent people in Quebec freeze in the dark. I would hope it is less then 1 percent.

If it's more then 1 percent then we have nothing to be proud of.
They'd let us starve to death, no sympathy here. Think the separation vote was 51 %, damn close when it comes to hand grenades.

I can see Sledhead's point in that co-operative dialogue is more productive, but that's been tried. Quebec has been gifted hundreds of billions in 'carrots' and like the spoiled child of the Dominion, they've grown to expect, nay, demand it. Some of us have grown tired of this utterly futile carrot approach and want to try some judicious use of the stick.

Perhaps he could allow that many of us are venting and we are glad to see evidence of our provincial officials finally trying to accomplish things on our behalf. Even Sledhead would have to concede that this resentment was earned by its recipients.

It's too bad that some people feel the need to wish others ill. However, it's hard not to laugh at the irony of the BQ running their mouths off about the evils of the Oil and gas industry and then not even one month later getting a big dose of reality. It's doubtful it will change any of their opinions on Canadian industry or infrastructure however.

I am far from happy with the prospect that this could cause death to fellow canadians (small C, yes I know) and certainly do not know if only Liberal voters are involved, but this does shine a fairly bright light on what could happen for Eastern canada (small c) if they were more cooperative with us. It's important. Trouble is sparkly socks will find another way to screw us over. Maybe bring in a thousand trains a day from down south and send us the bill.

Too bad for them that bright light is becoming more dim daily.

In 2016 Quebec sent fire fighters to Fort Mac, this past summer Quebec sent fire fighters to High Level to help out there.

We could argue numbers all day long but the simple fact is, Quebec has stood with us in times of crisis many times over the years.

Gentlemen, the enemy is not our neighbors, the enemy is the political elite and liberal media.

They play east against west, they play liberals against conservatives.
They give us the likes of junior and senior Trudeau and Mr's Dithers Paul Martin. They rape Joe Clark and smear Steven Harper and laugh with glee as we fight each other.

We wonder how anyone could vote for the likes of shiny pants and don't see that we have been manipulated just like those who voted for a Liberal government were.

But I have a bus to catch. See you all in a week or so.

I'm outa here.

Default propane

Guys this is a classic example of "Pipelines, Pipelines" for safe and secure transportation of hydrocarbon in Canada. Hope Quebec finally gets the message, only a idiot would recommend transportation of high volumes of propane by rail or truck on icy roads.

They'd be arguing that we should have twinned the pipeline, but Alberta wouldn't cooperate.

Quebecers have it bass-ackwards in order to always be right!

CN Rail to send emergency propane shipments to Quebec

Quebec will carry on being Quebec because everything gets handed to them.

We are tired of getting screwed here in the West....

Maybe the Bloc leader can think uniting the rest of Canada, but he is too much of a **** head to even consider it...

Guarantee there are way more than 1% thinking the same thing...Not just here on AO.

To emphasize the need for pipelines is another “LacMegantic” right in the middle of Montreal next to Denis Codere’s mansion

Its easy when we send them 13 billion a year to say yes to throw fire fighters to us, which is great, but we still get a bill for their services...NOT FREE...

They probably think propane isn't a fossil fuel.

I care as much about what goes on in Quebec as they care about what goes on in Alberta, absolutely zero.

What many of us don't see are the hardships created in Alberta because of our troubling economy. More suicides, more broken up families, businesses being shut down & bankruptcies. There is far more trauma here than caused by any shortage of propane in Quebec.

Nothing will focus the federal government on creating a "energy corridor" like having the main province against it lose billions of $$$ and multiple lives when it all could have been prevented in the first place. From Albertas mouth to Gods ear.......

When the powers that be look at various charts and graphs and how they relate to their goals, I doubt that much consideration is given to the human costs that are the direct result of their policies. "Let them eat cake" leadership
