I'm thinking of buying this tool. Other than Lowes, does anyone know where to pick one up? I can get it online with the full 73 piece professoinal kit for 179.70 US. But if there is somewhere nearby (Calgary area) that I can pick it up, I'd prefer to shop local.

Does anyone own this that can provide an endorsement or not?

I got one of the Dremel equivalents for Christmas, but have yet to use it. Somewhere in my library of Fine Woodworking or potentially Fine Homebuilding magazines there is a head to head comparison test of 4 of these oscillating tools, including the originator; the Fein; whose patent expired and opened the market up to all the new kids. I can't recall the outcome of the test, but will let you know if I find it. The issue was from sometime within the last 8 months.

Thanks Caber. I heard that it compares well against the Fein, except that it tends to run a little warmer. The Fein is more twice the price, so for that I can put up with some heat in my DIY adventures...
