Some great photo's for sure, they have been floating around the net for a few years. Last I heard it was a European strain of pike that can exceed 50lbs, but if you ask me that fish looks over 60. Tough to say though; I am comparing it to a 62lb Spring, and it's length is no where near that slough shark.

Ok it is getting annoying to see that picture again and again - is it like 2 years how it is circulating on the net? It is not from Canada first of all.

Wow.....how many years has this been traveling around now?
The folks in Holland (or Germany or where ever it originated) must be just killing themselves, laughing at it every year.

Wasn't there a 3rd pic that normally goes with it?
One showing the original fish that was hooked and then this monster holding on to it?

I beleive the pic you are describing is a totally different pic, but equally as old. And I agree its sickening seeing these pictures recirculated by every internet newbie that comes along.

No worries Guba, but these same pics go round yearly. If you start looking back in the older posts youll find them.

All good my friend. Sometimes it seems it don't matter what u post, someone will have something negative to say...as opposed to jus moving on. I myself have been guilty of it. Jus look At MuleyMonster's thread, he is lookin for someone to fish with, instead he get's attacked for fishing too deep haha. Gimme a break.
Cheers n happy fishn

Got that in an email on Sept 17, 2007. That one said it was from Rainy Lake... then again probably just a story too. Interesting to see though.

No worries man. We've all done it. I didn't mean to sound negative towards you. I was just commenting on how often these pictures show up. No personal offense meant.

Google 'record pike pic' or record pike hoax or something like that.
There is somewhat of a report of it out there.
I believe it was caught in Holland in the early to mid 2000's but I'm not entirely sure.

just drop it !!!!!!!!,

lol I heard it came from Hasse lake pulled out by a 4 year old boy, when father and son opened the gut of the fish it contained all the trout and all the jumbo perch out of Hasse, they also pulled a human arm still holding on to a rod end and 8 ft zodiak boat with 35 lbs electric motor....

it was caught in Holland

cheers !

That thing is a hog, I dont care where it came out of. I would love to catch a fish like that. that is the fish of a lifetime and would be on the wall above the fireplace if I caught it!!

Bud, just go away, dont look back.
