Default Anyone in Rocky Mountain House

Can anyone give me an update on the river conditions? Was hoping to do some gold panning but fear the gravel bars are under water since a week ago.

Thanks

DB

I'm not in Rocky but here in Edmonton, we had an advisory saying the NSR was going to rise 3 meters. I would imagine Rocky is in a similar situation.

All the rivers are at high tide right now, so to speak.

You will probably have to wait a week for levels to drop enough. FYI if you are just playing around with a pan, head to one of the boat launches. The slats between the concrete slabs that go into the water hold surprising amounts. I wowed my son's Scout troop when I gave a little demonstration on panning.

Levels are dropping. Still in flood though.
