Default Looks Impressive

There seems to be more choices for premium brass now. It used to be Lapua or Norma. Now you have Petterson and Alpha and a few other choices.

The problem is where to find them. Some of these companies need better dealer networks in Canada or I need to do better internet searches.

Default R-P brass

Actually, Remington itself is a sort-of dealer in Peterson Brass. The headstamp on Remington cartridges is R-P, which from what I've read, is short for "Remington-Peterson".

So if you need Peterson brass, you could buy a box of Remingtons, fire 'em off, and then reload with what is now the Peterson half of the Rem-Pet combo.

Not sure if Remington brass, the kind in bags, is made by Peterson also. I wouldn't doubt it, but don't know. Anyone else have info on this?

I think you are referring to the old Peters Cartridge Company . later to become Remington- Peters (R-P )

I was forced into hornady brass lately with a certain cartridge and am now using more of it. I’ve found it to be excellent as well.

I took several tours through the C.I.L. Plant in Brownsburg when I was young.
It was really interesting for sure to see the process in how a case was formed !😎

Seems to me I read that Remington stopped making their own brass a few years ago,not sure who's making it for them since.
Peterson is supposed to release 6BR brass soon.I'd be interested in comparing that to Lapua 6BR.
Also whether or not the SRP has standard or BR. size flash holes, their Creedmoor SRP brass has standard size flash hole.I'd be curious to know if they did any performance testing between the two on the BR cases.
Either way ,always nice to have options.
