Default Tenzing TZ-5000 pack

Just found, I think a real good closeout for this pack for 230.00 US dollars. prior 425.00 US
My question is has any of you in the Alberta area had experience with this pack and say good for a 5-7 day hunt in back country?
Karifu keeps comming up and maybe that's the way to go.Just wondering for any thoughts.
I have a BC hunt this 2020 in Yukon river area September and need a new decent pack.
thanks in Advance!

I've never carried weight in one, but have handled one a few times. They dont compare to SG, MR, Kifaru, Exo, etc.

You’ll probably want a pack with a better frame
Something that can haul that weight better

I would agree with rackmastr!! I have a bunch of money invested into my Eberlestock pack. But if I were to do it over, and I will one day. It’ll be Kifaru, exo, or mystery ranch. Watching the born and raised guys carry out numerous elk in the land of the free series last year, I would say that exo has my attention.

I had one I tried using for sheep hunting. I never carried an animal but just packing 7 days worth of gear in and out was horrible. I found it very uncomfortable and made it seem heavier than it was. I also had 2 zippers quit working on me in 3 trips. I changed to a mystery ranch Marshall and I find it way better. In my opinion I would save the money and invest it in one of the more expensive ones (Mystery Ranch, Stone Glacier, Kifaru, Exo).

Default Stone Glacier

Ask yourself why this pack is half price. I have a SG Talus 6900. Really like the x frame. The bag could be better. Good zippers, strong, overall good. Great fit on the frame.

Had one.... as in HAD. I tried to make it work for me for a whole elk season. It wasn't the worst pack or anything just didn't seem like top quality material (had the bottom separator rip and the threads pull apart). ripped a zipper off just using it for regular use as well. Also found the shoulder straps to be a little on the uncomfortable side. I went to Exo and can't even compare it because its on another level. Best pack I have had to date.

Well thanks guy. It was just clearanced out and i was thinking about this coming hunt.
Now. with great suggestions and first hand knowledge i know that's not my pack for this year and future.
i tend to agree a better frame needs to be addressed for meat.
i was told if i got in Deep and in the alpine area that we cannot have a packer, just a guide, so this will justify a worthy pack.
keep me posted on any other pack ides or thoughts.
Happy New Year Guys!

I very highly endorse the Exo Mtn. Perfect weight distribution. Not a lot of pockets/zippers/compartments (that stuff adds mega weight) to deal with. Very simple and excellent quality. Tested her on our first sheep kill this year and it was amazing.
