Default snaring on your own land

do i need to take a trapping course to trap on my own land? andy info would be greatly appeciated

if you have not had a trapping licence in alberta you must take the trapping course. I took it prob 10 years ago and I would recommend taking it they teach you alot, and it was fun learning from a person who makes his living doing it.

Or you can go down to your local f&w office and challenge the test if you've been around it before.
