Default Will an NDP win in Alberta today boost their brand nationally?

I would have to say yes. This could be a huge win for Mulcair and the NDP nationally. With a faltering Trudeau losing Liberal support with every word he utters, this could be the boost the national NDP need to move ahead in the polls.

If you think the NDP in Alberta is going to be bad for liberty and economy, just wait until this fall. This could be a tipping point.

If anything that will only help the conservatives. They would like nothing more than the left leaning side partaking in vote splitting. A majority of NDP shift would be from Libs. Unless the federal NDP and liberals get a real charismatic leader with a head on their shoulders that can sway some small c conservatives I'm doubting they do much. There is a chance of a lib minority in the next election but I'm not so sure Harper discord is that high. Certainly higher than outside AB but still not bad. They are probably safe until the next Canadian recession. Voters talk about lots of issues but they generally vote based on the condition of their wallets.
