I have nothing to say that has not already been said.
I'm posting he has lived a great life.
My condolences for what you will have to do.

Always a terrible time..
Spoil that dog. Just a piece of advise...make sure you pay for the needle first.. I made the mistake of having to do it after.. Not good trying to pay and having tears falling all over the machine.
Good luck,
H1602

When my grandson was 4 they had to say goodbye to his lab Charlie.

We told him that they really, really needed brave Rescue Dogs in heaven and that is why Charlie was leaving. He felt better knowing that Charlie was needed to rescue people.

The dog was a bit portly, and I got a bit of a hard elbow from Mrs Omega when I said it more likely that Charlie would be a 911 Operator

Duke will be waiting for you in heaven.

I thought you knew this.

My best wishes to Duke, and his family during this most painful time.

I know all to well how you feel. Going through this has made the toughest men I have known weep, myself included.

Just know you are doing the right thing for your beloved friend.

Rainbow bridge is worth the google search. My vet sent it to me after the death of one of my Gsp's.

My thoughts and prayers are with you,

I have gone through the same thing and it is truly one of the hardest things I have ever done,

I am always thankful my cats and dogs have chosen me to be the one they honor with their love and companionship,

Take care,
